Follow your dreams. You can be anything if you try. Reach for the stars. All of these overused cliché statements were plaguing my Pinterest. At 31 years old, you have to keep scrolling and think: “If I had my time back.” Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda right?
Then one day I got motivated. I watched my group of lady friends make changes in the world that were significant. I decided my fate was in my own hands. Pinterest was right. Why not try an online magazine? I am a journalist and I have been freelancing for over 8 years. It’s been a hard gig but I have stuck with it. I have not remained consistent but I was all like, ‘I want a family’ and ‘I have to pay my mortgage’.
However, I just wanted to keep writing. A blog wasn’t enough. I was used to telling other people’s stories. Reaching out across the province, meeting new people and voicing their opinions. So, I contacted a few talented people and they too have a subdued passion and want to express it. We just want to write and let everyone know about our province. We want to show you Newfoundland: beautiful sceneries, unique culture, exceptional history and an essence that makes it one of a kind.
Tint of Ink- a small dip of ink on a fountain pen. This is simply our small expression, a means to voice the hidden communities and stories of this amazing island.
Enjoy the ride.

I can assure you Gina, that even before creating this kick ass magazine, you were changing the world in a significant manner. I love this project- I hope it explodes to the four corners of the Earth xo
