Every week, before the regular council meeting, there’s another, secret meeting. There’s no press, no public agenda, and no public record of what decisions were made. At first that sounds suspicious. But, they say, City Council has deal with personnel issues or ongoing negotiations that need privacy. Fair enough!

I love pizza just as much as the Ninja Turtles do so I think I know pizza. At some point during February, I passed by the old Stogger’s Pizza location and saw that a new pizza place was setting up shop. A few days later, my roommate sent me the link to their website via a Facebook message and I was intrigued and a few days after that I was kicking off the weekend with some take-out from Olio. I met Maddie Mills in the fields of Lester’s Farm. She had requested my husband and I for a modeling shoot for some marketing materials. Her, along with the help of Live Wire Events and Nadia Ali Makeup Artistry, handpicked everything . From wedding gown to shoes, from  back drop to invitations. They had set up a completely fake wedding scene, in which I believed to be acting as a live prop. I was beyond wrong. I wasn’t a stand in to her photo shoot, but I was in the middle of an unexpected and lasting memory with my husband.
